Junior Representative Choir
Saturday Rehearsals
Attendance is compulsory
Dates: Saturday, 23, 30 August; 6, 13 September; 18 October and 1 November
Start: 1pm at Avonhead Baptist Church, 102 Avonhead Rd
Finish: 3.30pm at Avonhead School, 55 Avonhead Rd
Please note different start and finish locations for the rehearsals. All rehearsals start and finish at the stated time – please arrange your transport around this so that you are not late arriving OR being collected!
Holiday Course
Attendance is compulsory
Dates: Monday – Wednesday 22 – 24 September
Venue: Avonhead School
Time: 9.00 – 2.30pm each day (report at 8.45am)
Please note: We require the assistance of teachers or of parents of children attending the Holiday Course to help supervise the children during their two 30-minute breaks on each day of the course. Click here for more details

Dress Rehearsals
Attendance is compulsory for both rehearsals

Venue: Christchurch Town Hall
Time: 9.30 – 2.20pm (bring lunch and snacks)

Date: Tuesday 4 November
Venue: Christchurch Town Hall
Time: 9.30-12pm
Performance Evenings
Attendance is compulsory for all four evenings
Dates: Tuesday – Friday, 4 – 7 November
Reporting Time: by 6.00pm
Collection Time: 9.15pm
Conductor
The conductor of the Junior Choir is Kimberley Wood.
Kimberley is a PhD candidate in Marketing at the University of Canterbury. In 2020, she received a master’s degree in commerce (MCOM), and a Bachelor of Music degree in 2018. After receiving her LTCL in singing, she became a member of the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir (2013-2014) and New Zealand Youth Choir (2017-2019). In 2021-22 she was on the committee for the New Zealand Choral Federation Canterbury / West Coast branch. You can find out more about Kimberley here.
