Teachers’ Workshops
It is compulsory for each school that is participating in the Festival to have a representative present at this meeting. You are welcome to bring more than one and please stay for the whole meeting. Your school will be provided with the songbooks you have ordered, Teaching Notes and accompanist music if you have requested it. It is vital that the choir director knows how the Festival conductors will want the songs to sound before a school starts putting effort into teaching the music to its choir. At the meeting the conductors will play and sing through each song, amplifying the information provided in the Teaching Notes.
This workshop is a good way to gain some more Professional Development. The workshop will include vocal warm ups, rehearsal techniques, sharing of vocal resources and help with the festival songs for this year. It will be a practical workshop with some focus on conducting but we will not be asking you to do any conducting in front of the group! It is a supportive and fun workshop where we can get together and share ideas. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Continuing Professional Development. Please register using the form below.
