It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Kate Hays, a much‑loved colleague and friend to all involved in the Music Festival. Kate served as Assistant Musical Director for the Festival, as well as conductor of the Senior Representative Choir from 2013 to 2018. Kate was deeply admired by colleagues and performers alike for her superb musicianship, kindness, and sense of humour, and she shared an especially warm and cherished rapport with her first love, her choirs. We mourn her loss and extend our deepest condolences to her husband, Brian, to all her family, and to all those who enjoyed making music with her.
