Monte, who is auditioning to be in the Representative Choir for his fourth year in 2018, wrote the following about his poster:

“I started with this year’s theme, ‘Fun and games’, and thought that ‘Snakes and Ladders’ was a game that everyone would recognise and enjoy. The song ‘Happy’ inspired me to create a cheerful singing snake with musical notes appearing from its mouth. In the background of the composition are musicians having fun on timpani and horns while the choir enthusiastically sing. I like the ‘Fun and Games’ theme and I’m sure that the Music Festival participants and the audience will enjoy the performance.”

Monte wins $100 for himself and his school wins a further $100. His drawing will be used on the poster advertising the Music Festival and in the Festival programme cover.

Congratulations to Monte.

Thank you to all pupils who entered the Poster Competition this year. There were a number of entries to choose from and, as usual, the decision was not an easy one.
