2025 Chosen Charity

We are pleased to announce that the chosen charity for the 2025 Music Festival is

Home & Family

Home & Family supports tamariki, rangatahi, parents and whānau in Canterbury who have experienced family violence, abuse, or neglect. Established in 1898, originally as the Society for the Protection of Women and Children, Home & Family has since evolved to provide child-led support. This means that all tamariki are heard, respected, and valued in the wake of family violence – giving them a voice in creating a safer future.

By offering holistic, wraparound care to the whole whānau, families are supported to make long-lasting and sustainable changes. Parents or caregivers learn the skills needed to keep their child safe, healthy, and build a loving relationship, while the child undergoes therapy, trauma-focused interventions, or mentoring. And they have proven results that they are making intergenerational changes – you can read an independent analysis of their impact here.

Home & Family’s services include whānau safety response, child therapy, trauma-focused psychology for children, parenting programmes, home-style supervised contact, youth mentoring (Te Hononga), and wrap-around social work.

To help children live childhoods free from violence, abuse, and neglect, make a donation to their mahi today.  To contact their fundraising team, please email fundraise@homeandfamily.net.nz or call Cath on 027 224 0816.

Spread the word and please give generously when you see the collectors for Home & Family at the Music Festival in November.
