The conductor of the Concert Band is Grant Bartley.

For the last nine years, Grant has been Assistant HOD of Music at Cashmere High School. Grant frequently works as an organist, harpsichordist, accompanist and conductor in Christchurch and New Zealand, guest conducting numerous choirs and orchestras. Grant is the current Musical Director for the Christchurch Youth Choir and is Assistant Conductor of Addington Brass Band. He has been an accompanist and a tutor for the NZ Secondary Students Choir and conducts and rehearses various groups at Cashmere High including their Orchestra, Concert Band, Choir and Chamber Choir. Grant also conducts the Christchurch South Intermediate Orchestra and works with their Jazz Band, through Cashmere’s outreach programme.

Holiday Course

Attendance is compulsory
Dates: 2 October – 28 October
Venue: Cashmere High School, Music Department
Time: 9.00 – 12.30pm each day (Report 15min before start time)

Please note We require the assistance of teachers or of parents of children attending the Holiday Course to help supervise the children during their 30-minute break on each day of the course. Click here for more details
