A Final Message to pupils

Kia ora tatou

What an incredible festival this has been and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you all on three fantastic nights of music-making for “Whatever the Weather”. As always, your teachers have done the festival proud working with you on the songs and you performed superbly every single night. The feedback I have been receiving from audience members is unanimous in its praise for the standard of your singing and playing, many saying that it was the best one yet that we have done in the Horncastle Arena, so well done! On behalf of all the Music Team I want to say how proud we are of you all – thank you for rising to the occasion, for practising hard and for sharing our vision.

So, next year’s theme is “Fun and Games”. We have already selected the music and we think you’ll like it – lots of different types of music, all linked to having fun. The “games” bit takes us to music for big sporting events – some you may not know but there is one that, as Cantabrians, you will DEFINTELY know!

It only remains for me to thank you all once again, wish you a successful end to the year, to say farewell and thank you to those leaving us and an enjoyable, safe and peaceful holiday over Christmas and the New Year.

Warmest congratulations to you all.

Nga mihi nui
